Mysuru: Giving a push for digitalisation, the Backward Class Welfare Department has started digital library initiative at post-matric boys and girls hostels run by it.
ZP Deputy Secretary Shivaramegowda launched the digital library service, which is taken up in association with Vidwath Innovative Solutions (P) Ltd., at Veene Seshanna Bhavan, Kuvempunagar, recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Shivaramegowda said that the Digital Library will largely help students who are appearing for various competitive exams, especially civil services.
Highlighting the benefits of a digital library, he said that this initiative will considerably reduce the dependability on internet and coaching classes for almost all sorts of exams.
Pointing out that this was the first digital library in the district, he called upon the students to make the best use of this library to reach the goals of their life.
Rohith of Vidwath Innovative Solutions, the partner company in the initiative, presented a practical demonstration on the working of digital library.
District Backward Classes Welfare Officer G.S. Somashekar, Gazetted Manager Bhagyamma, Hostel Warden Manjula, Vidwath Innovative Solutions Director Rohith Patil, Manager Pradeep and others were present.
