Mysuru: Dinesh Coaching Centre had organised a function at Kalamandira here yesterday to present  Pratibha Puraskar to meritorious students of the Centre.

Speaking on the occasion Swami Mangalanathanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna Mutt, Bengaluru opined that though children learn basic education at schools, they should be taught culture at home by their parents. He pointed out that society was like sugar covered with mud and added  that education should activate wisdom in children to pick up only sugar leaving the mud behind, the way ants do.

Addressing the gathering Yuva Brigade Guide Chakravarti Sulibele quoting a conversation between Bharadwaja and Narada where the former wanted increased longevity to acquire more knowledge, said that the sea of knowledge was of infinite depth and hence learning was eternal. Referring to demonetisation, Sulibele opined that chasing money could be dangerous as any moment it could be made to lose value. On the contrary he added that going after Principles and philosophy was always invaluable.
