Kuvempu University will introduce Diploma and certificate courses in Classical and Performing Arts from the academic year 2018-19. Jogan Shankar, Vice-Chancellor, said that the duration of the Diploma course will be a year while that of certificate course will be six months. This year, courses will be introduced in Bharatanatyam, Hindustani vocal and theatre. From 2019-20, the University plans to introduce Bachelor’s degree in Classical and Performing Arts.
