Mysore/Mysuru: Narasimharaja MLA Tanveer Sait has assured that the road directly connecting Railway Goods Shed yard to Outer Ring Road (ORR) will be developed soon.
MLA Sait addressed the gathering after receiving grievances from lorry owners during a meeting organised by Mysuru New Goods Terminal (MNGT) Railway Good Shed Lorry Owners Association in city recently.
Sait said “Various goods lorries operate through Jodi Tenginamara Road in Bannimantap, which at times have even caused mishaps. Following the increased density of movement of heavy vehicles, the works on providing a direct connectivity to ORR from Railway Goods Shed Yard are on. As 150 metre width of this road belongs to the Railways, we have discussed the issue with the MP, Deputy Commissioner and Divisional Railway Manager of South Western Railway, Mysuru Division. Even now, if we hold talks and find a solution, it will be easy to provide a direct connectivity to ORR.”
The Officers also conducted a spot inspection to build a public toilet near the goods shed. Along with this, facilities like drinking water and streetlights will also be provided, assured MLA Sait.
President of MNGT Railway Goods Shed Lorry Owners Association Peer Basha, Vice-President Dada Peer, Secretary Abdul Khadar Shaheed and others were present.
