Mysore/Mysuru: As part of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the specially-abled persons of the city under the banner of ‘Mysuru Visheshachetanara Hakkugala Horata Samithi’ took out a three-wheeler scooter rally in the city on Sunday, seeking fulfillment of their demands.
The rally, which commenced from Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple ended at P. Kalingarao Gaana Mantapa in Dasara exhibition premises, where a stage programme was held.
The demands included holding meeting once in two months to hear their grievances, granting of loans for purchase of houses under MCC’s 5 percent grant and providing of subsidy through banks only to eligible beneficiaries, among others.
Samithi President Girish, Vice-President Syed Usman, office-bearers Shakuntala, Gopal Krishna, Dileep and others took part in the rally.
