Mysuru: Over 58 foreign yoga enthusiasts undergoing training at 12 yoga schools in city took part in the one-day discourse on ‘Yoga for Happy Life’ held at Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama in city on Sunday.
The Ashrama had organised this programme for foreign yoga enthusiasts for the promotion of yoga, meditation, spirituality and Indian culture across the globe.
Former President of Ramakrishna Mission, Singapore, Swami Muktirupanandaji highlighted the importance of yoga, spirituality and meditation for physical and mental health.
He advised the participants to shun greediness, anger and other bad habits to lead a peaceful, stress-free and happy life.
The real happiness lies in the practise of meditation, not in pursuit of materialistic and physical comforts, he added.
Bhajans, Universal Prayers, Guided Meditation, Interactive Session and Shanti Mantra were held on the occasion.
Swami Athmajnanandaji and others were present.
