Mysore/Mysuru: Mysore Open Forum has organised a discussion on ‘Elections 2024 – Prospects & Perspectives’ by Dr. H.V. Vasu, Editor, Eedina.com and Krishna Prasad, Senior Journalist, at 10.30 am on May 19 at Kalpa Kshetra Auditorium, 581/1, Vijayanagar 4th Stage, 1st Phase, Mysuru.
Krishna Prasad is former Editor and Editor-in-Chief of Outlook magazine and a former Member of the Press Council of India representing the Editors Guild. His last assignment was as Group Editorial Officer of The Hindu. In a 36-year career in journalism, spanning print, electronic and new media, Krishna Prasad has worked in five cities and six publications; taught journalism on three continents; edited two books; published two globally renowned blogs; and hosted a podcast on journalism.
Dr. H.V. Vasu is an activist deeply concerned with problems facing society. He is the Editor of Eedina.com, a portal which highlights critical issues faced by people. As a Psephologist, he leads a team to understand and analyse voting patterns in various elections. His team was able to predict the results of the Assembly Elections in Karnataka in 2023 very nearly accurately. He is an allopathic doctor specialising in Diabetes related issues.
The discussion will be on how various parties will fare in the Loka Sabha elections currently underway and the importance of the roles PM Narendra Modi and BJP and other parties will play.
