Mysuru: As part of Round Table India (RTI) Week celebrations, Mysore Heritage Round Table (MHRT)-109 has taken up works related to health, sanitation, distribution of food to shelterless people, environment related projects and distribution of 500 saplings.
Disclosing this to press persons at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city yesterday, MHRT President Rohan said: “During lockdown period, we have distributed over 50,000 food packets, masks, sanitisers and medicines. Thus, we have created awareness among people about the precautions to be taken during the pandemic. We are enthusiastic to continue our service-oriented works in future too.”
“When everyone was staying safe at home, journalists have worked like COVID Warriors. Hence, our institution will be distributing masks and sanitisers to city journalists,” he said and advised everyone to use mask and sanitiser keeping in mind the safety of their families.
RTI former National President Harish Shenoy, Area President Dr. Ravi, Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) President S.T. Ravikumar and MDJA City Secretary P. Rangaswamy were present during the press meet.
