Mysore/Mysuru: The merit scholarship distribution ceremony and felicitation to toppers of 10th Std and PUC of Seshadripuram Independent PU College (SIPUC), Mysuru, was held at the seminar hall of the College in city recently.
SIPUC Principal N. Archana Swamy welcomed the dignitaries. Retired Hindustan Aeronautics Limited General Manager Nemichandra, who is also an author, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Nemichandra motivated Second PU students by presenting enormous real life incidents to instil positive attitude in the young minds. She said it is admirable that the students have been honoured in a befitting way, not all institutions do this kind of work and appreciated Seshadripuram Institution for identifying and honouring efficient students and she hoped that it would continue.
Speaking about “attitude of being gratitude,” she inspired students to be grateful in their life by giving many examples in contrast to other poor and underprivileged children who flourished with mere benefits in life.
Later, Nadoja Dr. Wooday P. Krishna, Honorary Secretary of the organisation delivered the presidential address by remembering the way the organisation has grown and imparting education to lakhs of students.
The ceremony was marked by felicitating the students who have emerged as rank holders in the PU exams for the academic year 2022-23 and were presented with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 each, certificate and memento.
Fourteen students of present I PUC were given free seat in the college for their commendable percentage in 10th Board Exams and also 24 students were given scholarship of Rs. 10,000 each. 48 I PU students were also given appreciation certificates for their remarkable score in the SSLC examination.
Chairman of Seshadripuram Educational Trust B.A. Anantharam, Trustee W.D. Ashok, Seshadripuram Degree College Principal Sowmya Erappa, teaching and non-teaching staff and students of the college were present on the occasion.
