District Administration reclaims encroached land

Mysore/Mysuru: In an early morning operation today, the authorities of the District Administration led by Mysuru taluk Tahsildar Mahesh Kumar, reclaimed large parcels of encroached Government land in Yelwal Hobli limits of the taluk.

Following complaints  that Government lands in Yelwal Hobli’s Jattihundi village Survey Nos. 36/4,36/7 and 53/1 that were  marked for a public  road was encroached upon, the authorities cleared the Poultry farm which was built by one Narasimhegowda on the said land and reclaimed it. Similarly, the encroached land coming under Survey No.36/7 where a coconut farm was developed by former Gram Panchayat member Cheluvaraju and encroached land coming under Survey No. 36/4, where one Rajegowda had developed a Coconut farm, were cleared of encroachment and reclaimed.

The operation was carried out by Tahsildar Mahesh Kumar as per the direction of Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy and Assistant Commissioner K.R. Rakshit. Village Accountant Mahesh Kumar, Revenue Inspector Shivakumar, Deputy Tahsildar Kubera, Taluk Surveyors Manjunath and Venkatesh and other staff took part  in the operation.
