Stories, poems, articles invited for souvenir before Feb. 28
District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal has said that the 19th District Kannada Sahitya Sammelana will be held on Mar. 28 and 29 at T. Narasipur and writers can send stories, poems and articles to be published in a souvenir of collection of poems and stories to be brought on the occasion.
Speaking to press persons at Pathrakartara Bhavan recently, he said: “To encourage and promote young poets, authors and writers, a collection of poems and stories is being published in the form of a souvenir. Articles about the district’s famous tourist spots and also about Karnataka and Kannada can also be sent to the Parishat before Feb. 28 by post to: The President, Mysuru District Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Vijayanagar 1st Stage, Mysuru.
Stating that a committee of experts will be constituted to select the contents to be published in the souvenir, he asked the writers to contact District Kannada Sahitya Parishat Manager A.G. Devaraju (Mob: 91648-37773) or Secretary M.N. Latha Mohan (Mob: 79755-47238).
District Kannada Sahitya Parishat Secretary M.N. Latha Mohan, T. Narasipur Taluk President Kannada Puttaswamy, Mysuru Taluk President A.C. Manjunath and District President of State Government Employees Association Govindraju were present at the press meet.
