Mysore/Mysuru: District Minister S.T. Somashekar on Wednesday last performed Guddali Puja (Ground-breaking ceremony) for road development works near Sanjeevini Circle in Loknayak Nagar of Chamaraja Assembly segment, costing Rs. 1.99 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Somashekar said that the road development works have been taken up on the road that runs from Apoorva Bar to KRS Main Road at Metagalli passing through Basavanagudi Circle.
The work is being executed with PWD grants and the officials have been asked to ensure quality in the execution of works, he added.
Corporators Lakshmi Shivanna, Prema Shankaregowda, Sridhar, Pailwan Srinivas and M.U. Subbaiah, PWD EE Harsha, AEE Raju, BJP leaders Somashekar Raju, Kumar Gowda, Puneeth Gowda, Kiran Gowda, Devaraju, Chikkavenkatu and others were present.
