District TET examinations held amid tight security in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru District Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) – 2024 examinations were held at 27 centres in city today.

A total of 4,103 candidates have registered their names for the exam. The examinations will be held from 9 am to12.30 pm and from 2 pm to 4.30 pm. The exact number of students who appeared for examinations will be known later in the day.

No unauthorised persons were allowed inside the centres and carrying of cell phones and smartwatches were banned.  Necessary precautions have been taken to stop malpractices during the examination hours, said DDPI Javaregowda.

TET examinations were held at Jnana Ganga School in Kuvempunagar, Vijaya Vittala School in Saraswathipuram, Cauvery School at Kuvempunagar, Marimallappa  High School and Sadvidya High School among others.

To ensure smooth conduct of exams and to prevent untoward incidents, city Police had clamped Section144 around 200 meters radius of the centres.
