Mysuru: The Karnataka State Board of Aukaf recently nominated retired IAS Officer Mohamed Salahuddin as Nodal Officer of Mysuru and Mandya Districts to supervise and guide the overall development and other activities of Waqf (Wakf) affairs in Mysuru and Mandya.
The Mysore District Waqf Advisory Committee had organised a review meeting in the presence of the Nodal Officer at its office on Sayyaji Rao Road here recently.
Ariff A. Mehkri, Chairman, District Wakf Advisory Committee presided over the meeting which discussed issues such as safeguarding the wakf properties, Development of the wakf properties and to vacate the unauthorised occupation of the wakf properties.
Vice-Chairman S.A. Rahman, members Abdul Khader Sait, Mir Afsar Ali, Mirchi Babu, Aijaz Pasha, Mansoor Ahmed, T.P. Rafeeq, Syed Akram Pasha and Wakf Officer Abdul Khaleel attended the meeting.
They later inspected Bi Bi Murad Shah Wakf institution, behind CFTRI and the Waqf properties near Eidgah Maidan in Tilak Nagar.
