Mysuru: The District Administration in association with Zilla Panchayat, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports Affairs, Nehru Yuva Kendra and NSS has organised District-level Youth Festival (Yuvajanotsava) at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad here on Dec. 24 at 10 am.
Youths aged between 15 and 29 years including School and College students, members registered in various Youth Associations and Rajiv Gandhi Yuvashakti Sanghas can take part in the event. Participants can register their names at the venue also after producing photocopies of SSLC marks card or birth certificate at 8 am on Dec. 24.
Winners of the contests are eligible to participate in State-level Youth Fest early next year. Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Manipuri, Kuchupudi, Kathak dance, Classical Instrumental music (sitar, flute, tabla, veena, mridanga, harmonium, guitar), Karnatak and Hindustani vocal music, Pick and Speak (only in English or Hindi), One-Act play (only in English or Hindi) and folk music and dance contests have been organised.
