Diversion of SC/ST funds: Bahujan Samaj Party to stage protest in city on July 26

Mysore/Mysuru: Alleging that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah-led State Government was using Special Component Plan (SCP) and Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) funds reserved for SC/ST welfare for other purposes, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will stage a protest on July 26 in city, said BSP City President C. Srinivas Prasad.

Addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city yesterday, Srinivas said that the protest will be staged at 11 am near the new DC’s Office in Siddarthanagar and alleged that about 70,000 crore has been misused. Pointing out that free education could have been given to SC/ST students from primary education to BE, MBBS, Ph.D etc. and also provide jobs, he said that even houses could have been built to the homeless.

Party District in-Charge Chandrashekar, Dandinakere Basavanna, Lingaraju, Rangadas, Nanjunda and B. Mahadevaswamy were present.
