Mysuru: In view of the Mysuru Divisional Job Fair organised by Skill Development Corporation, Government of Karnataka, to be held at Maharaja’s College Grounds in city on Feb. 23 and 24, Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep held a preliminary meeting at his office here yesterday.
Randeep said that candidates from Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Kodagu and Chikkamagalur districts would attend the job fair. Candidates can register by logging on to www.skillandjob.com and furnish all details which can also be downloaded and used as a resume in future. He added that the registration process had begun and 76 candidates had already registered in Mysuru district.
Randeep said that an estimate of Rs. 78 lakh has been made to hold the job fair covering the main stage, shamiana, kiosks for participating companies, drinking water and toilets. He said that the candidates would be initially screened on Feb. 17 and 18 at the respective centres and the short-listed candidates would attend the job fair.
About 250 companies would participate in the job fair, he said and added that 250 volunteers would be deployed to assist the organisers. He asked the officials concerned to give adequate publicity for the event.
Assistant Commissioner Shivegowda, District Social Welfare Officer Somashekar Jigani, District Backward Class Officer Prabha Urs, Mysuru Employment Exchange Assistant Director Vishwanath w and others attended the meeting.
