Do not check vehicles by blocking busy junctions

Sir,

Of late almost every other day we find Traffic Police conducting checks on two-wheelers at the junction of Hunsur Road and Gokulam Road.  The cops station themselves right at this junction and the two-wheelers are forced to stop at the busy junction.  This is causing a bottleneck for the free flow of traffic.

Vehicles coming from Hunsur road and turning  towards Gokulam road are put into lot of inconvenience. Two-wheelers and Traffic Police block the turning  and as a result free flow of traffic from Hunsur road to Gokulam road gets hindered.

There is ample space for the Traffic Police to conduct the checks little ahead of the junction on Gokulam road, which will  not cause any hindrance for the free flow of vehicles.  They conduct checks during peak traffic hours — may be to achieve their targets, but at the cost of causing immense inconvenience to the rule-abiding motorists.
