Mysuru: Family Planning Association of India (FPA India), Mysuru Branch, in association with Bharath Cancer Hospital, Mysuru, observed World Breast Cancer Month-2021 recently.
Dr. S.N. Hegde. Hon Chairperson, FPA India, Mysuru Branch, presided.
Dr. K.G. Srinivas, Senior Consultant, Medical Oncology, briefed on Breast Cancer and said that nowadays the lifestyle and obesity are the main factors for Breast Cancer.
He advised the audience to get married at the right time and start family from 20 years to 28 years. Stating that screening is better than getting disease after 40 years, he suggested it is better to undergo Mammography annually.
Dr. S.S. Malini, Member of Ad-hoc Committee, FPA India, Mysuru Branch, spoke about ill-effects of fast-food and lack of physical activities.
Rtn. Sunil Baliga, Chairman, Rotary Ivory City Mysuru, was present. Bijimole, Branch Manager, welcomed gathering. Devika proposed a vote of thanks.
