Mysore/Mysuru: Strongly opposing the ongoing process of transferring Education Department activities to RDPR (Rural Development and Panchayat Raj) Department, MLC Marithibbegowda has urged the Government to immediately stop the process.
In a press statement, he termed the activities’ transfer process as unscientific. Pointing out that the transfer will hurt the quality of education in schools, he said that this action will have an impact on the quality of teaching and also disrupt other academic activities in schools.
Stating that RDPR being a big Department is finding it difficult to implement its own programmes, the MLC accused the Education Department officials of attempting to destroy the long-standing system that is in place.
Marithibbegowda urged the State Government to halt the transfer of activities in the better interests of students. He also warned of launching an agitation if the Government does not pay heed to his demand.
