A 4ft. long Indian Rock Python was rescued from a pond in Doordarshan Kendra premises atop Chamundi Hill on Friday morning by snake-rescuer Kumar.
Kumar said that he received a call from the staff of Doordarshan Kendra about the presence of a Viper in the pond. Kumar, found that the snake was an Indian Rock Python and rescued it. Following instructions from the Forest Department officials, he released the snake in its natural habitat.
