Varuna MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah will unveil the new statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at Lalithadripura in the taluk at 11 am tomorrow (Mar.21). Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Yuvaka Sangha Founder-President Aditya said that Urilinga Peddimutt Seer Sri Jnanaprakash Swamiji, former MP and KPCC Working President R. Dhruvanarayan, Bahujan Samaj Party State President M. Krishnamurthy and Dalit leader Nagasiddhartha Holeyar will be the chief guests.
The 6 ft. tall statue is installed at a cost of Rs.2 lakh, he said and added that a mass feeding (Anna Santarpane) will take place after the programme.
