Mysuru: Retired Sanskrit Professor Dr. C. Shivakumaraswamy has been selected for the ‘Sri Shivarathreeshwara’ Award- 2018 for his book ‘Vedagamagalu mattu Chennabasavanna’.
The award is instituted by Sri Shivarathreeshwara Religious Endowment and is being given since 1983 for good books related to literature, religion and culture.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, a memento and a citation.
Profile: Dr. C. Shivakumaraswamy is a scholar, researcher and an orator. He is adept in editing, reviewing, translation and lexicography. He has published over 150 research papers and has been honoured by many organisations with several awards. The award will be presented to him at a function to be held soon.
