An inspiring opening wicket partnership of 177-runs, between openers Bharghav Merai (133 n.o., 259b, 17×4) and Priyank Panchal (88, 183b, 13×4), and later an unfinished 105-run second wicket partnership between Bharghav and Kshitij Patel (51 n.o., 69b, 7×4, 1×6), helped Gujarat CA to post a total of 282 for one in 85 overs, and take control of the proceedings against Madhya Pradesh CA, on the second-day of their four-day group ‘D’ league tie in the KSCA Dr. (Capt.) K. Thimmappiah Memorial Cricket Tournament 2018, played at the JSS-SJCE Grounds yesterday.
Earlier, Madhya Pradesh CA were bowled out for 274 in 90.4 overs by Gujarat CA. Left-arm medium-pacer Nszam Negwaswalla impressed with a six wicket haul (six for 65) for Gujarat.
