Mysore/Mysuru: Observing that litterateur Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar (CPK) has sowed, spread, breathed and enlivened knowledge, noted writer Prof. Aravind Malagatti said that Dr. CPK maintained a fine balance in all his works, articles and other writings.
He was speaking at the 85th birthday celebration of veteran writer Dr. CPK organised by Yashaswini Mahila Jagruti Parishat at the Institution of Engineers on JLB Road here on Saturday.
Noting that Mysuru is famous not just for Dasara Elephants but also for its Literature and Litterateurs, Prof. Malagatti said that Mysuru has Elephants of Knowledge and Dr. CPK is a tall leader of the herd of such Elephants.
Pointing out that Dr. CPK has more than 300 works to his credit, he said that CPK maintained a fine balance between appreciation and criticism in his works.
Noting that CPK is also very famous for his Chutukus (Limericks), he said that most of them highlighted the shortcomings or fault lines in society in a humorous manner.
Dr. CPK, who is known as ‘Chutuku Ratna’, must be credited for giving a sort of seriousness to Kannada Limericks.
Dr. CPK was felicitated by the Parishat on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
