Dr. E.W. Becker (78), who was the chief architect of the Indo-German collaboration project on mass scale production on Algae as alternative source for food in CFTRI, Mysuru, between 1971 and 1975, passed away in Tubinngen, Germany on April 2.
Born on April 11, 1939, he has published many books and research papers on algae, especially Spirulina which is now very popular as health supplement. He had very close association with CFTRI and all the members of that project.
