Dr. K. Kempegowda

Dr. K. Kempegowda (88), retired Director of Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies, University of Mysore and a resident of Saraswathipuram, passed away following age related illness on Feb. 26 in city.

Dr. Kempegowda had also served as a lecturer of Kannada in Maharaja’s College and later served as a Professor, senior Professor and Director in Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies before retiring.

He leaves behind his wife Susheela, daughter Dr. Suvarna Nagachandra, son Dr. Chethan Prasad, grand-children and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at his native place Byadarahalli in Channapatna taluk.
