Dr. Kalam remembered with unique exhibition

Mysore/Mysuru: BGS B.Ed College on Adichunchanagiri Road in Kuvempunagar, on Wednesday, had organised a programme titled ‘Kalam-Salam’ at its premises in an effort to motivate one and all to draw ingenuity from the life and works of late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, an Indian aerospace scientist who served as the 11th President of India.

BGS Vidyapeetha Secretary Sri Someshwaranatha Swamiji graced the occasion. National School of Drama-Bengaluru Director C. Basavalingaiah inaugurated the programme. Senior Theatre Director Prof. H.S. Umesh was the guest speaker. College Administrative Officer H. Yashoda and Principal Dr. Nagaraju were present.

An exhibition was held on the occasion featuring Dr. Kalam’s life journey as a student, scientist, educationist, orator and finally as the President of India.

A play titled ‘Agniya Rekkegalu’ based on Dr. Kalam was enacted by 2nd year B.Ed students of the College on the occasion. The play was directed by P. Shreyas and music direction was by Nagesh Kandegala.
