Mysuru: Samvahana Prakashana, together with District Kannada Sahitya Parishat, had organised a programme at Maneyangala in Kalamandira premises here yesterday for release of late Prof. U.R. Ananthamurthy’s (URA) book ‘Ashantha Santha Anantha.’
Releasing the book, Dr. Manu Baligar, President, State Kannada Sahitya Parishat, opined that URA was a unique writer who came out with new ideas every time and also introspected his works. He added that URA always promoted Kannada and his presence was needed now to hold Kannada in high esteem. Dr. Baligar asked people to learn Kannada but not to neglect English.
Dr. Niranjan Vanalli, Registrar, KSGH Music University, spoke on the book. Parishat Mysuru President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna presided. Book Editor Dr. Jayaprakash Mavinakuli and publisher D.N. Lokappa were present.
