Mysuru: Dr. Rajkumar Musical Group has organised ‘Doddordhwani’, a musical evening in memory of matinee idol late Dr. Rajkumar on Apr. 24 at 5.30 pm in Kalamandira in city.
Addressing a press conference at Patrakarthara Bhavan, announcer Mike Chandru said that District Co-operative Union President H.V. Rajeev will inaugurate the event in the presence of Sri Ilai Alwar Swamiji. Corporator B.M. Nataraj will preside.
Kannada and Culture Assistant Director H. Channappa, Deputy Mayor Rathna Lakshman, playback singers Ananya Bhat and Gangadhar, J. Venkatesh of K.N. Pura, N. Raju, President of Puneeth Samaja Seva Samithi, Mahadevaswamy, Secretary, actors Poornachandra and Rajalakshmi and Mike Chandru will be felicitated.
Vidu. Jayashree Mahesh will present Bharatanatya while singers Jayaram, S. Balraj, Dr. Natashekar, Ananya Bhat, Sarvamangala, Sahana and Ramachandra will render songs from Dr. Rajkumar’s movies to mark the thespian’s birth anniversary.
At Jaganmohan Palace: Meanwhile, Madhura Gana Kala Vrunda too has organised a musical event titled Eradu Nakshatragala Rasasanje on Apr. 24 at 5.30 pm at Jaganmohan Palace auditorium.Film Director Bhargava will be the chief guest, according to Kala Vrunda Founder Ramesh Kumar.
