Mysore/Mysuru: “You’ll All See…,” a book written by Aditya R. Belur from city, was released at a function organised by Mysuru Book Clubs-2015   in the sylvan surroundings of the MRC Club House premises here last evening.

Radhika Narayan, the well-known Kannada cine actor,   received the first copy of the book released by Dr. S.N. Mothi, Consultant Paediatrician and Founder-Trustee of Ashakirana Hospital.

Aditya’s parents Kishan Belur and Sangeeta Belur, Elizabeth Shakuntala, Shubha Sanjay Urs, Founder of the Book Clubs and N. Niranjan Nikam, Senior Journalist, also received  the copies.

In conversation with Niranjan Nikam, author Aditya Belur shared his thoughts on what prompted him to write his  debut novel.

“Confined to a wheelchair and my room, boredom prompted me to pen my thoughts which eventually became a novel. I had no intention of inspiring anybody but if it does, I’m glad,” he said adding “if the novel seems like the voice of many people who are challenged in many ways, I’m happy.”

Senior Journalist N. Niranjan Nikam in conversation with author Aditya Belur.

The 264-page self-published book, edited by N. Niranjan Nikam and Dr. Pamela Sanath, is a journey of a child who  faces unexpected situations, the trials and tribulations as   he grows into an adult and how he copes with it.

Aditya, who took questions from the audience, said though the novel has glimpses of his personal reflections, there is a fair mix of fiction too and hence it is in the reality fiction genre. Everyone has problems and one shouldn’t give up is what the premise is basically   about, he said.

Collateral Damage, where Surya the protagonist talks of the pain his family too was put through, Acceptance which talks of how after going through all stages of grief the hero accepts his condition and MS: First Day of Acupuncture, a witty narration of Surya’s encounter with a Chinese nurse treating him were some of the chapters from which Radhika Narayan read out a few passages. She wished and hoped that Aditya would write more novels.

Dr. Mothi said many chapters in the book makes one introspect about life and said the line “I will do well in life” sums up what the author wants to say.

The book launch was attended by book-lovers and well-wishers of the author.
