Mysuru: City’s well-known Paediatrician Dr. Sarika Prasad is the new District Chairman of Inner Wheel District 318 which comprises eight Revenue Districts of Karnataka — Mysuru, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Chikmagalur, Shivamogga and Hassan. There are 43 Clubs and around 1,300 members in this District.
She will be installed as the Inner Wheel Chairman by Association President Smita Pingale at a ceremony to be held at Kundapura on July 29. The term of office will be from 1st July 2018 to 30th June 2019.
Profile: Sarika Prasad is a Charter Member of Inner Wheel Club of Mysore Central. She has executed all responsibilities at Club and District-level. She has attended many International conventions, conferences. A good Kathak dancer, she loves Hindustani Music, plays Sitar and practices Yoga.
Inner Wheel is an International organisation, an offshoot of Rotary International, one of the largest women’s voluntary organisations in the world. It is active in more than 103 countries, with more than 1,03,000 members from 3,895 Clubs. Inner Wheel Clubs, Districts and countries take part in a wide range of work for charities and causes across the world with the aim of giving better lives to the people.
Inner Wheel District – 318 is the third District to be established in India during 1967- 68. District 318 has contributed two Association Presidents. PDC late Sheila Irani is one among them.
