Bengaluru: The heavy rains that lashed Kodagu and neighbouring Kerala resulting in floods and damage to lives and property last month, has slowly petered into a drizzle this month.
This is about one-fifth less than the normal rainfall expected during the season in September, which in short is a deficit rainfall. This is due to dry weather and this will continue even next week. The rains might improve after that, said a report from the Meteorological Department.
The dry weather may affect agriculture activities. In the coming days, there will be mild to normal rain in South Interior Karnataka, said Indian Meteorological Department State in-Charge Director C.S. Patil.
