DSS demands recall of Governor

Mysore/Mysuru:  Accusing the Karnataka Governor of playing into the hands of the Opposition in it’s attempts to destabilise the ruling Congress Government in the State, members of Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (DSS) staged a demonstration in front of Dr. Ambedkar’s statue in Town Hall premises here yesterday.

Charging the Governor of acting on the behest of the Centre, instead of functioning in a Constitutional manner, the protestors decried the attempts to dethrone the Congress Government in the State. Accusing the Governor of sanctioning for prosecuting the CM, they demanded that the President recall the Governor as he was acting in a partisan and political manner, instead of trying to protect the Constitution.

Wanting the President of India to have a look at the developments going on in the State, they urged the President to recall the Governor and at the same time ensure smooth functioning of the democratically elected Congress Government in the State.

The DSS Office-bearers Rajaiah Itna, Mallesh Chunchanahalli, Krishna Kolagatti, Suresh Yeraganahalli, Raju Neelawadi, Puttaswamy Devarasanahalli, Suresh Shankarapura and others were present.
