Opposing the Supreme Court’s recent verdict striking down ‘Consequential Seniority’ in job promotion for SC/ST employees, nearly 100 members of Karnataka Rajya Dalitha Sangharsha Samithi (KRDSS) staged ‘Tamate Chaluvali’ to register their protest against the verdict, at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue in Town Hall premises this morning.
Alleging that the Apex Court order had rendered grave injustice to SC/ST employees, the protesters urged the State Government to file a review petition and to continue with the existing norms in SC/ST job promotions.
