Mysore/Mysuru: The customary Durbar Utsav was held in Chamundeshwari Hill Temple as part of Chamundeshwari Vardhanti, on Monday night.
The idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari was placed in the Rudrakshi Mantapa in the temple premises, following which the associated pujas and rituals were performed to the deity under the leadership of the Temple Chief priest Dr. N. Shashishekar Dixit and in the presence of erstwhile Royal family member Pramoda Devi Wadiyar.
The Utsava Phalapuja was performed at Rudrakshi Mantap at 8.30pm, following which the Durbar Utsav took place at 8.45pm, with Pramoda Devi Wadiyar offering prayers. The grand Chamundeshwari Vardhanti culminated with the performance of Durbar Utsav on Monday night.
Earlier in the day on Monday, thousands of devotees from across the State had thronged the Hill Temple for Chamundi Vardhanti to seek the blessings of the deity on this auspicious day.
