‘DVG Award’ for Satyesh N. Bellur

Mysuru: Maintaining that growth cannot be achieved in a single sector, academic expert Dr. Gururaj Karajagi said growth can gain ground firmly only if personality is spread across different sectors.

He was speaking after conferring ‘DVG Award’ on poet-writer-playwright Satyesh N. Bellur at a programme organised by DVG (D.V. Gundappa) DVG Balaga Pratishtana at Sarada Vilas Centenary Hall in Krishnamurthypuram here on Sunday.

Noting that Satyesh Bellur, who has written many form of books,  has worked like a honey bee, Dr. Karajagi said that he has shared his experiences as a Science student, Technologist and a Tourist, through poems.

Observing that achievement in a single field will not stand firm, he said, on the other hand, a multi-faceted personality will have a deeper and broader experience.

Pointing out that the 20th Century is a golden chapter for Kannada Literature, Dr. Karajagi said that Kannada literature had never got such a depth and spread in the past. The glory that can be seen in Kannada poetry cannot be found anywhere else, he added.

Dr. Karajagi’s work ‘Saakshi’, published by Loka Shikshana Trust Granthamala,  was released on the occasion.

Poet K.C. Shivappa, Prof. Shankar Bellur of ‘My Career Lab,’ Pratishtana Convenor C. Kanakaraju, Members Samanvitha, Dr. Virupaksha Devaramane, H.A. Nandini, Gururaj Kulkarni, Samudyatha, Arun and others were present.
