Bengaluru: In a surprise development, the BJP National leadership on Saturday appointed Union Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda (DVS) to head the State BJP’s Conventional Campaign Committee.
The Committee will have 30 members who include Opposition leader Jagadish Shettar, Opposition leader in Legislative Council K.S. Eshwarappa, MP Shobha Karandlaje, former Dy. CM R. Ashok and others.
BJP National President Amit Shah also announced the appointment of Dharwad MP Prahlad Joshi as the President of the Unconventional Campaign Committee. This Committee will have 30 members who include former CM S.M. Krishna, who joined the party early this year after quitting the Congress, former Minister Suresh Kumar, MP Pratap Simha and Malavika Avinash.
