Eeregowda, a senior Congress leader of Kaniyanahundi village, elder brother of former Chairman late K.M. Shivanna, passed away yesterday at the village.
He leaves behind five sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at Kaniyanahundi this morning, according to family sources.
