Mysuru: Forest Department has been holding discussions to solve the current man-animal conflicts said Save Tiger campaign Ambassador Prakash Rai.
He was speaking during the ‘Uluva Yogi Shrama Samskruthi’ organised by Nele Hinnele Institute at B.M.Sri Auditorium in Manasagangothri as a part of its theatre camp yesterday.
Many wild animals stray into the villages located on the borders of the forests in search of food, which has been a cause of worry for the farmers.
There is a need for the authorities to think on protecting the interest of the farmers as well as providing ample food for the wild animals, he added.
Stating that one should have mother-son sentiments with the earth, Prakash said that people must not spoil the fertility of the soil in greed for money.
Later, the organisers conducted an interaction with farmer-couple Rekha and Rohit. Theatre Camp Director H. Janardhan was also present.
