Mysore/Mysuru: Elaborate security arrangements have been made for President of India Droupadi Murmu, who is scheduled to land at Mysore Airport in Mandakalli at 2 pm in a special IAF Aircraft today.
She will be received at the Mysuru Airport by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy.
The President will be visiting Malavalli later in the day today to inaugurate the 1066 Jayanti of Suttur Shivarathreeshawara Shivayogi Mahaswamyji.
The President, Governor and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy will travel to Malavalli in an IAF helicopter and after the event the President will stay at Hotel Radisson Blu Plaza in city tonight while the Governor will stay at the Government Guest House in Nazarbad.
The Race Course Road in city has been cleared by City Police to ensure a smooth and secure passage of the President’s convoy.
One KSRP platoon is stationed at Government Guest House as security arrangement for Governor as per protocol.
Meanwhile, H.D. Kumaraswamy, who is celebrating his birthday today, visited Chamundi Hill this afternoon. After Malavalli programme, he will return to Bengaluru.
The President will leave for Hyderabad tomorrow and the Governor will leave for Bengaluru.
