Mysore/Mysuru: Fourteen candidates, including MLA G.T. Devegowda and Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Chairman H.V. Rajeev, have been elected unopposed to the District Co-operative Union.
Those elected are as follows: G.T. Devegowda, B.N. Sadanand, B. Mahadevaswamy, T.P. Boregowda, K.K. Harish and T. Ramegowda (all from Primary Credit Co-operative Societies seats and Primary Co-operative, Agriculture and Rural Development Banks seats), H.V. Rajeev (Housing Co-operative Societies seat), J. Suneetha Veerappagowda (Women Co-operative Societies seat), K.S. Kumar and K. Eeeregowda (Milk Producers Co-operative Societies), M.B. Manjegowda (Urban Co-operative Banks seat), Y. Bhyrappa (TAPCMS seat), H.S. Prashant Tatachar (Credit Co-operative Societies seat) and P. Satish (SC/ST Co-operative Societies seat).
The election to the remaining one seat (Multi-purpose and Other Co-operative Societies) for the 15-member Body will take place on Oct. 1, for which Shivarajarao and Hanumanalu Siddegowda are contesting, according to Electoral Officer K.S. Harishkumar.
