Mysuru: K.N. Annegowda was unanimously elected as the President and B.C. Lokesh as Vice-President of Mysuru Government Employees Housing Co-operative Society for the period 2024-29.
The election to the posts was necessitated following the resignation of Society President Mahesh, who had quit his post on health grounds recently. In the elections held yesterday, K.N. Annegowda, who was serving as Society Vice-President was unanimously elected as new President while B.C. Lokesh was elected as Vice-President.
Speaking after his election as the President, Annegowda said that the Society has thus far distributed over 6,000 sites to the members. Pointing out that there are still 3,500 members who are waiting for sites, he said that the Society has obtained the sanction of MUDA for development of a Layout in the land that belongs to the Society.
Vice-President Lokesh said that the Society had come up with many programmes, which were interrupted due to the COVID pandemic. Now the Society plans to revive them in a much better manner, he added.
Ramalingaiah, R. Joseph, K.M. Gopamma, P. Kamalamma, M. Rajanna, S. Avinash, S. Manjappa, Srikrishna and others were present.
