Election to two city Co-op Banks begins

Mysuru: The elections to elect Board of Directors to The Graduates Co-operative Bank on Chamaraja Double Road and Mysuru District Women’s Co-operative Bank, Sahakara Bhavan, Chamaraja Double road, began this morning.

While the polling for Mysuru District Women’s Co-operative Bank took place at Hardwicke High School on JLB road, the voting for the Graduates Co-operative Bank was held at Maharaja PU College also on JLB road.

The Graduates Co-operative Bank is witnessing election to Seven Director posts with nine candidates in fray,.

The counting of the votes will be taken up, after the polling ends in the evening and the results will be declared by 7.30 pm, according to sources. C. Girish, Marketing Officer of Co-operation Department will be the Returning Officer.

The polling for electing 11 Directors of Mysuru District Women’s Co-operative Bank began at 9 am. 22 candidates are contesting for 11 posts of Directors. The polling ends at 4 pm and the counting will be taken up. The results are expected by 7 pm.

K.S. Harish, Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies Mysuru, is the Returning Officer.
