Elite Group ‘A’ Ranji Trophy: Maharashtra wins toss, all-out for 113

Mysuru: The less fancied Maharashtra, who won the toss and chose to bat in the four-day Elite Group ‘A’ Ranji Trophy match against hosts Karnataka at the SDNR Wadiyar Grounds in Manasagangothri, this morning, were off to a poor start.

Skippers R. Vinay Kumar of Karnataka and Rahul Tripathi (Maharashtra) went out to toss and the latter called correctly and opted to bat first.

In the first hour itself Maharashtra had lost a couple of wickets and by the time we went to the press, they were all-out for 113 runs in the first innings.

Karnataka has had an upper hand against Maharashtra as they had hammered them by an innings and 136 runs at their own bastion last season.
