Sir,
I live on 5th Main Road, V.V. Mohalla. Of late, I have been observing that several owners of independent houses, as also apartments, have been encroaching the areas outside their compounds and either landscaping the area or paving the area in such a manner that it becomes impossible to utilise those spaces to park vehicles.
As it is, over the past few years, the number of vehicles plying on the roads in Mysuru have grown substantially. Parking is becoming a big problem all over the city. With the number of eateries / wellness centres in and around this area, it has become extremely difficult for visitors to find a parking place on our road.
If even the available spaces are encroached upon, where does one park?
Is the Mysuru City Corporation not observing this trend, or are they turning a blind eye to these encroachments?
Or has any permission been given by the Corporation authorities for using these spaces?
I would request the authorities concerned to visit this road and see for themselves how congested the area is becoming, and to take steps to clear the roads of all these encroachments.
