Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner (DC) D. Randeep has directed the officials to ensure that all Dasara stalls are occupied when the Chief Minister inaugurates the Dasara Exhibition on Sept. 21.
Addressing a meeting with officials at the Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) CEO office at Dasara Exhibition Ground here yesterday, DC Randeep said that it is the responsibility of the departments to ensure that their stalls are occupied before the inauguration.
Pointing out that Chief Minister Siddharamaiah has sent a clear message to the District Administration in this regard, he said that such Departments which fail to ready their stalls before the inauguration will be dropped from the list.
The DC further said that all works related to stalls should be completed and be ready for occupation by Sept. 19.
Departments owe Rs. 40 lakhs to KEA: KEA CEO Sashikumar said more than 12 Government Departments have already come forward to begin works on their stalls. Those Departments which fail to submit details on the progress of stall works within the specified time, will be dropped from the list, he said and added that he has asked all the Departments which totally owe Rs. 40 lakh to the KEA, to pay up the dues at the earliest.
