Mysuru: Ojas Public Charitable Trust, established four years ago, is admitting rural students belonging to Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan and Chamarajanagar districts for free higher education. Students who have just appeared for SSLC 2018-19 examination and belong to economically weaker section with good academic performance are eligible for admission.
The selection of students for free higher education scheme would be through entrance examination, to be held on Apr.7 at Gopalaswamy Pre-University College, Nanjumalige Circle, from 10 am to 1 pm. They would be motivated to take up courses from PU to taking up the examination for IAS, IPS, NDA course, including Post-Graduation.
The questions for the examination would be from the Texts they have studied in last three years. Those who score good marks would be admitted to the hostel and they can take up the course of their choice in Science, Commerce or Arts discipline.
This scheme is only for boys and the income of parents should not be more than Rs.1.5 lakh.
