Mysore/Mysuru: WISE (Women In Small Enterprise), the women’s wing of Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), in association with Maharani’s Women’s Commerce and Management College, Vinayakanagar, had jointly organised a two-day certificate Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for MBA students.
T. Dinesh, Joint Director, District Industries Centre (DIC), inaugurated the programme. Manjunath, Joint Director, CEDOK, Anand Nayaka, Director, RUDSET, Vini Nair, Divisional Manager, Regional Office and R.H. Jayashree, Divisional Manager, MSME Sulabh, Canara Bank, were the chief guests.
Prof. Somanna, Principal, Maharani’s Women’s Commerce and Management College, presided. K.B. Lingaraju, President, MCCI, was the guest of honour.
Vasantha Kumari, President, WISE-MCCI, welcomed. Rachana Mahesh, Hon. Secretary, WISE-MCCI, proposed vote of thanks.
The objective of conducting the EDP was to promote Entrepreneurial Skills, Economic Self-reliance, Women Empowerment and Innovation by motivating the students to become Entrepreneurs — job-providers rather than job-seekers.
Padmini Shivanna, Malini Srinivasan, Vice-Presidents of WISE-MCCI, Shashikala Ashok, Joint Secretary of WISE, Kalpana Surendra, Hon.Treasurer of WISE-MCCI and MC Members Nalini and B.R. Bharathi were present on the occasion.
