Mysuru: In a bid to boost the entrepreneurial spirit, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Mysuru Chapter, had organised ‘The Fire-Side Chat’ with renowned business technocrats Prashanth Prakash, partner of Accel Partners and Sudhanva Dhananjaya, CEO of ExcelSoft Technologies, at Silicon Road Ideation Labs in city recently.
The conversation revolved around how Flipkart and other companies gained the confidence of their investors through multiple arrays. The Speakers spoke of the trends in the industry for start-ups and the strategies involved in the noteworthy exits of companies. Sudhanva opined that retaining talent in Mysuru was a challenge.
Prakash delineated that Google’s entry to Bengaluru was a prominent one and a golden opportunity to explore the talent pool in the nation. “If Mysuru puts up an angel fund or sets up a good accelerator, it would prove to be very beneficial. The day Mysuru gets 100 million dollars to fund many start-ups is when I would proudly say it’s D-Day for Mysuru,” he said.
The event was administered by TiE Mysuru President Sanjay Srinivasmurthy and was moderated by Gagan Chengappa, Executive Director, TiE, Mysuru. It offered valuable insights on the current trends in entrepreneurship and was attended by professionals, industry and academia members and students.
